Nightlife in Guayaquil centers around three main areas. The red light district (Zona Rosa), the Malecon de Salado, and Samborondon.

The Zona Rosa is in the city center close to the boardwalk and is filled with small, cramped discos that can get packed on weekends.

The Malecon de Salado is slightly more upper class, with the heeled crowd present.

Samborondon is far from the city and only frequented by the cities elite upper class.

The most fun is usually had in the Zona Rosa, or a club in none of these areas, called Fizz.
