Everything in Guayaquil is close, but try to avoid moving about the city during rush hour (5-7) because it could take you over an hour to go even the shortest of distances.
The boardwalk and Las Penas are a must see.
Another good reason to stay here is to take a Spanish course in a local university or to volunteer in a local organization.
